LUNE

- pan au chocolate: $8.60
Thought I’d finally give LUNE a go. I was convinced that it would be a scam because there’s no way to justify the lines outside and the prices for just some pastry.
The pastries are quite large and do match the models on the table exactly. It was not warm at all but it was very crispy, especially the very outer layer which basically flaked off. Is that their claim to fame? The crispiness/flakiness of their pastries? I don’t actually know.
I mean it tasted like a pastry. Definitely large and crispy and flaky but I would say it blew me away or anything. Even with the more elaborate pastries I just can’t fathom how you could be spending $16 on a single pastry - there’s no way it would be worth the money unless it was literally life changing, which I highly doubt it would be. Maybe that’s just me though. I’m not exactly a pastry connoisseur.
