I’ve walked past this place a good number of times and finally ended up trying it today. It looks nice from the outside, and the decor is really cool, with busts of various ancient Romans dotted throughout the restaurant. However, I think the reason I’ve not heard much about this place is because the food here isn’t very good.
I got the capricciosa pizza to share with one friend (although we came in a group of 7). It was… incredibly mid. Our pizza came with very little toppings and a lot of the bites I had were tasteless. Even the bits with topping were kind of disappointing and flavourless. The olives weren’t very salty. There was no cohesion. I usually really like capricciosa pizzas but I would literally rather have a Dominos one than this one again.
The saving grace here was the tiramisu. We all shared 2 tiramisu’s between all of us, so we got two scoops each. But they were pretty damn good. Not quite as good as the one I had at Leonardo’s but still relatively good. It bumped this place from a 3 star to a 3.5 star.
