Ordered:
- Nokdu samgyejuk (chicken congee) set: $26
- Makguksu (buckwheat noodle) single item: $22

I came here for an early lunch (around 10:30am) with a friend. I've walked past this place a couple of times but have yet to try it.

The place itself is quite lovely. Apparently they do good drinks here as well but I didn't try any. I got the congee set and there was actually quite a large bowl of congee there. The set just means you get all the little preserved condiments as well to eat with the congee, which is a bit needed in my opinion - my friend said her buckwheat noodles were pretty plain as well. I think the congee could have done with more salt. Otherwise it was hot and warm and really lovely. The soup that came with the set also had tiny mussels in it, which made it really nice. There was also a little steamed egg thing on the side of the set, also lovely.

My friend said the buckwheat noodles were a really nice texture, albeit cold. The egg was soft boiled to perfection, with a lovely runny yolk. Honestly the vibe here was really nice, even if the food itself was maybe a little bit too bland.

On a side note I could not figure out how to use the flat Korean chopsticks.

Mild card surcharge of 1% here.
