What can I say. This is just my happy place. I come to Amiri way too often.

I had a day of many accomplishments so I rewarded myself by coming here for lunch. The banana matcha brulee sounded very interesting so I wanted to try that, but I also felt bad not getting food, so I tried the Mario melted sandwich thing. 

The banana matcha brulee was actually alright. The banana milk was actually really nice and the brulee was soft and crispy. The only thing was actually the matcha - you couldn't really taste it at all. When I mixed the drink it just felt like the matcha watered down the flavour of the banana milk and creme brulee. Certainly an interesting concept for a drink though.

The Mario melted is basically two pieces of bread with mushrooms in between and parmesan and hollandaise over the top. This was alright, and very filling, I just found it a bit too creamy. There was too much hollandaise. The poached egg went really nicely with everything. But yeah, potentially a bit too much cream.

Overall okay.
