Stalactites
Rating: 4 ⭐️
Ordered:
- mixed giros souvlaki: $17.50
- bowl of chips: $6.50
Came here for dinner with a friend on a weekday. I've been wanting to try this place for a while but unfortunately they were all out of their specials. My friend was really keen to try the pastito(?) but yeah, no luck. Apparently going there for lunch is better because they're more likely to have their specials still available.
We ended up getting two souvlakis each and a bowl of chips to share. The souvlaki was alright. They were significantly larger than I expected. The lamb souvlaki was chewy and difficult to eat but that's just how souvlaki is. There was good tomato and salad in the wrap. The surrounding bread was really really good. The chips were also pretty good, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they were ever so slightly sour and salty-sweet at once. Solid chips.
I guess I'm not the biggest fan of souvlaki in general so I found this difficult to differentiate from a generic souvlaki place. I want to come back here and try the moussaka and maybe some of the specials.
