Ordered:
- Beef bulgolgi bibimbap: $18.80
I've been here with a friend before and she ordered this last time, so I decided to try it out. I don't really know what I expected fort the bibimbap but taste-wise I found it slightly plain. I think the intention is for you to add a lot of the spicy sauce they gave, which I added a decent amount of, but I do like my bland foods. The beef was really good. There was a great variety of vegetables so you feel like you're being slightly healthier. Slices zucchini, shiitake muschroom, carrot, bean sprouts.
Also the steaming hot bowl - what's it called? I've forgotten the name but it lives up to its name. It stayed hot the entire time I was eating - it's too hot to touch - and if I didn't move the rice around with my spoon it would've started sticking to the bowl. Towards the end you start getting crispy rice bits where it's been in contact with the hot bowl for too long. Adds another level of interest to the food.
Overall good. But not spectacular, in my opinion. A good amount of food for what you pay. They also have other interesting things on the menu so could be interesting to come back.
Card surcharge. Very good place to eat alone.
