West Lake Chinese Restaurant 西湖大酒家
Rating: 4.5⭐
Ordered:
- Spare ribs in black bean sauce 黑椒排骨煲: $35.90
- Century egg pork congee 皮蛋瘦肉粥: $20.80
This is a Cantonese restaurant, despite the fact that it's called 西湖. Bit odd. It's a really nice place that's open late in Chinatown - my friend and I came here at about 1am. I did find that most of their dishes were quite expensive, in the $30-40 price range. The food was good though. The ribs were great and the congee, even though it was simple, was really well made. Didn't get a photo of it before we devoured it though. It's a nice place, just a bit pricey.
Card surcharge here as always, but not significant.
