Ordered: matcha mochi ice cream: $7.50

I’ve been eyeing up these mochi ice creams for a while. Got one today since it’s 30 degrees and ate it sitting in the sun. It was pretty dang good. The wooden spatula they give you isn’t quite sharp enough to scoop through the mochi so I had to bite it open. But the mochi layer was thin and the ice cream scoop was dense and flavourful. The matcha ice cream slayed, it was more of a bitter-tasting matcha ice cream compared to some which are more creamy. I love more bitter matcha flavour and this was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. The mochi was fresh as well. So good. I guess this place has to have some good stuff because it’s right next door to a pretty well-loved gelato place so it’s gotta put up with some fierce competition.
