Mr Tulk Cafe (2)

Rating: 5⭐

Ordered:
- Bananarama smoothie ($9.50)
- Great eggspectations ($23.90)

I decided to come here again with a friend to try the brunch food here. We got to the cafe at around 10:30 and it was already quite busy, especially in the outdoor seating area, but there were still plenty of spots inside.

We both got the bananarama smoothie because I loved it so much last time. I also decided to forgo the typical eggs benedict for something different, so I tried the Great eggspectations. Which, firstly, amazing name for a dish. This came with eggplant, three slices of bacon, two paoched eggs, one potato croquette, an avocado mix and a beetroot mix. The eggplant was kind of meh (it also had cherry tomatoes), but the avocado was really well made and I have no idea what they put in there but it tasted great. I usually don't like beetroot, but the way they made it was also really good. Putting the poached egg, avocado spread, beetroot spread and bacon on the toast was an amazing mix of flavours. If the eggplant was nicer it would've been better, but I really did enjoy the food. It was too much food actually, I couldn't finish it. Mr Tulk still living up to its rating.
