Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart
Rating: 5⭐
Ordered:
- Original cheese tart: $4.90 ($26.90 for 6)
- Yuzu cheese tart: $5.20 (28.90 for 6)
I've been to this tart shop before and they've always been amazing. Now they've merged with Pafu and this new mochi ice cream place into one single shopfront. I'm keen to try the other desserts now that they're there, especially the mochi ice cream which was advertised at the front.
The classic baked cheese tart was just as good as I remember. The tart base was just the right thickness to be stable and easy to hold, but crumbles easily in your mouth. The top of the tart is thin and covering a melty cheesy middle. Perfection.
The yuzu tart (on the right in the image) was very similar to the classic cheese tart. There was yuzu at the bottom of the tart and small amount of icing sugar sprinkled over the top. The yuzu was not overpowering. It was also very good. I'd be keen to try the other flavours - such as strawberry or matcha - but I feel like I remember trying them in the past and that they aren't quite as good as the original. We'll have to see.
