I came across this place literally because I was on my phone and the family of 3 in front of me stopped and decided to eat here. It looked good so I also decided to sit down and eat.
It was actually a really nice bunch place, and open til fairly late in the day. It's on the top floor of Melbourne Central, right next to the bridge that connects to the Emporium.
I got the hash and salmon, because I love fish and potato, and I seriously need to branch out from always ordering eggs benedicts everywhere. I didn't get a drink; I read some Google reviews saying the drinks weren't anything special. The hash and salmon came with an egg on it which always makes me happy. I do wish more places did real salmon and not smoked salmon, but with cost of living these days I don't think most places can afford it.
Either way this plate was really good. The hash brown prism was super crispy on the outside and was clearly made up of soft shredded potato on the inside. Initially I thought there was a bit too much smoked salmon, which came in a bit of a rose on the side, but it worked with the massive hash prism. Sauces were all great too. And presentation was amazing. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was because there just wasn't anything about this that completely wowed me. It was definitely a very solid place though.
Card surcharge as always but a small amount.
