Mr Tulk Cafe
Rating: 5⭐️
Ordered:
- Bananarama smoothie: $9.50
- Plain croissant with ham and cheese: $9.50
Situated right beside the State Library, this was the place I decided to go to for breakfast after my first night in the city. I placed my order at around 10:30 when there were still many open spots, but by the time my order arrived at 11 the outdoor seating area was completely filled. It’s a lovely cafe with indoor seating and outdoor seating where you can appreciate the state library building.
I ordered the Bananarama smoothie - which was absolutely amazing, 5/5 stars, one of the best smoothies I’ve ever had. I don’t know why I’ve never had a banana and cinnamon combo before, but it completely worked in this drink, it was truly amazing. I’m usually not one for banana flavoured things but on this occasion, it’s just want I needed.
I also needed to have breakfast but I wasn’t very hungry, so I ordered a ham and cheese croissant. It was very crispy and honestly not the most spectacular thing in the world. If I were to go back I would want to actually try the brunch menu - I’ve heard good reviews online about their eggs bene.
